THE KING'S CORONATION
May 2023
A really lovely time together for The King's Coronation. Music, games and a scrumptious afternoon tea by the social group. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a very happy day.
EASTER BINGO
April 2023
Great fun had by all at the family bingo this month. Easter eggs were up for grabs as well as a bumper fruit hamper! We had a craft table to make Easter pictures and a super spread of cakes thanks to the social group. Thank you for supporting us! Next Bingo June 4th
COMMUNITY APPEAL TO FUND A DEFIBRILLATOR
March 2023
Thornbury Group Parish Council have launched a community appeal to fund a defibrillator for all of our three parishes. Every household and business in the Three Parishes will receive a letter explaining in detail how they can contribute to this worthwhile cause.
OVER 60'S LUNCH
March 2023
A delicious lunch of sausage and mash was enjoyed at our Over 60's get together in March. Lovely to see familiar faces and new folks too! The event was finished with an excellent apple crumble and custard! A big thanks to the social group for organising and to everyone who came along. These events help to keep the village hall thriving.

A big thank you to everyone who supported our first big bingo of the year! We really enjoyed seeing you! Our Easter bingo will be on the 2nd April (see flyer on the home page) you can also catch mini bingo at our coffee mornings, 1st Saturday of the month.

HARVEST LUNCH

Fantastic harvest lunch run by the social group. A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event, donated items for the raffle and auction and to Phil Wildig for being our excellent auctioneer! A big thank you to the social group for all their hard work and help from Liz and Ann with puddings and flowers. What a lovely day! With your help £360 was raised for the the churches of the three parishes.
NEW KITCHEN!

The new kitchen is here! Our fabulous Howden's kitchen is almost ready! With huge thanks to everyone who made it happen including Tynna Loveday, MSB Carpentry, Your Floor, Anthony Merriman Electrics & Colin Ike Plumbing & Heating. Join us on 10th sept from 6.30pm for a village pub night to celebrate!

As well as our fabulous new kitchen we are delighted to report that Your Floor have completed the brand new floor in our front hall. We are so pleased with the result, we can't wait to show you!

Exciting news! Our brand new kitchen is underway! We can't wait to show you around! Due to the refurbishment, we will have to postpone coffee morning until September. Other events at the village hall continue as usual. please see our 'Whats on' on our home page. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

A lovely lunch hosted by the Three Parishes social group. A tasty ploughman's and some delicious puddings. It was lovely to see our friends and have a catch up.
PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

Thornbury, Edwyn Ralph and Collington turned out in force to celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. There was singing, music, delicious cake & ice cream, games and fabulous company. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success. Special thanks to Shirley Wildig for the amazing cake and our friends at Netherwood estate for lending us their marquee.

COMMUNITY PUB NIGHT IN AID OF UKRAINE 🇺🇦

Fantastic turn out for our first pub night. All profits on the night have been donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine appeal. A huge thanks to Steve Palmer who entertained us through the night with his fabulous singing. Together we raised £370 for Ukraine. Fantastic result, thank you to everyone for your support

THE POST OFFICE RETURNS!

After 13 years, The Post Office returns to Edwyn Ralph Village Hall every Tuesday lunch time 1.45pm - 2.45pm. Di Holloway arrived with her well stocked Post Office Outreach Van on Tuesday 26th Oct. Roy Meddings was first in the queue with Jane Coyle and Ben Boyle shortly afterwards. Locals can now withdraw and pay in money, pay car tax and bills. Post parcels and letters. Di also sells a range of stationary and greetings cards. What a fantastic boost for our community!
Between 2005 and 2008, the Sub Post office at Edwyn Ralph Village Hall served around 380 people living in Edwyn Ralph, Collington and Thornbury. Now with almost 500 people living in the three parishes, many of whom are elderly, The Post office is more vital than ever!
BOOKS AND BARGAINS!

Great success on Sunday at our Bric á Brac and Book Sale! Our special offer on books was very popular with many leaving with loaded carrier bags! Thank you to everyone who supported the event and donated books, with your help we raised over £70 for the village hall in just 2 hours! Another Bric á Brac and Book Sale will be 5th Dec 10.30am - 12.30pm

COMMUNITY ART WORKSHOP
3rd Wednesday of the month
Our monthly art workshops are underway with an exciting plan to host an exhibition in December! The idea of the workshop is to open the world of art to the community. We've had some fabulous donations of art supplies that means we can run these art mornings for free! thank you to everyone who has donated to our art appeal.
