HISTORY

On the 1st May 1953, the land on which the hall stands passed, by conveyance, from Mr & Mrs Lynch to the Trustees of the village hall who had been appointed at a meeting held in August 1952. The timber structure was formerly a ward at the World War II US Serviceman's Hospital at Foxley.

Over the years the weather took its toll on the structure and a rebuild was decided upon on 1987.  This was completed in phases over the next ten years at a total cost of around £200'000. On the 19th March 1987 Edwyn Ralph Village Hall was approved as a Charity by the Charity Commission, a status which it enjoys today.
